So why are we doing this? Most incubators take a spray and pray approach to helping build startups, they charge quarterly dues to be a part of the incubator and they sometimes take a small percentage of equity without any investment. Steven and I noticed while trying to invest through Angel list and other Crowd investment platforms that they didn’t offer the level of transparency that we needed to make good bets and decisions on our investments and those platforms also didn’t offer any education or support to the founders which minimized the chances of their startups success and reduced our return on investment.
